Masonic Graveside services for Mr. James Ralph Smith, 93, of Jefferson, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Oakwood Memorial Park in Jefferson, Texas, under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home of Jefferson. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening, February 11, 2013, at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born September 12, 1919 in Gary, Texas to Johnny James and Ollie Horton Smith. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, Jefferson Masonic Lodge #38 for over 50 years. He had worked for Arkla Gas Company for a number of years as a production lineman. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Sybil Yvonne Smith and 9 brothers and sisters. Mr. Smith passed away February 8, 2013 in Marshall.

Survivors include his sons, James E. Smith of Jefferson and Donnie Smith of Gary, Texas, grandchildren, Garrett Wayne Smith of Longview, Kara Shay Smith of Athens, 1 great grandchild, Lydia Smith of Diana, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
